A Full time Secretariat headed by the Secretary of Council is in place to spearhead the management and administration of the NEC. The NEC structure also provides for the office of the Designated Agent (D.A) as mandated by section 63 of the labour Act [Chapter 28:01] to enable the Council to exercise its powers and perform its basic functions. The Designated Agent is duly certified by the Registrar of Labour Relations at the Ministry of Labour, Public Service and Social Welfare. An Accounting Officer is responsible for all matters financial and ensures that member funds are persistently put to good use.
